GoPro launched new entry level camera and added to the GoPro lineup that simply called GoPro Hero. It looks similar to GoPro Hero 5 and GoPro Hero 6. The company says “HERO is a great first GoPro for people looking to share experiences beyond what a phone can capture.HERO makes it easy to share ‘wow’ moments at a price that’s perfect for first-time users”.
Specifications of GoPro Hero:
GoPro Hero sports and action camera comes with 320 x 480 pixel resolution tiny 2 inch coloured touch enabled display. As you see in image the device has small monochrome display on front which displays information like video quality, remaining storage and about battery.
GoPro Hero has 10MP 1/2.3 inch sensor. The main difference between the expensive GoPro cameras and GoPro Hero is quality. It has ability to record 1080p videos up to 60 fps. It cant shoot 4K or super slow-motion videos. It only has a one burst shooting option (e.g.10 frames per sec) and one time-lapse setting (e.g. 0.5 sec per shot). For image processing GoPro Hero uses an Ambarella chip.
The device is water resistant up to 33 ft (e.g. 10 m) in water. The device is optical stabilised for shake-free video footage. The device has internal 4GB storage and it is expandable up to 128GB through microSD card. The retail package includes a camera, frame, rechargeable battery, mounting buckle, curved and flat adhesive mount and USB-C type cable. The camera is controllable wirelessly using an Android or iOS device. Additionally, it has all the connectivity features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, which makes sharing videos and images a lot easier.
