What is the incognito mode?

According to Wikipedia,

“Private browsing, privacy mode or incognito mode is a privacy feature in some web browser to disable browsing history and the web cache. This allows a person to browse the web without storing local data that could be retrieved at a later date. Privacy mode will also disable the storage of data in cookies and Flash cookies.”

For instance, Chrome calls it “Incognito mode” but Firefox call it “Private browsing mode”.

Youtube app for Android got an incognito mode feature in its latest update. In this incognito mode, the app allows you to disable watch and search history.

This incognito feature is very useful for peoples who want to hide their public activity from being public.

Youtube is pushing an update of incognito mode for Youtube app on Android.

To enable this, your Youtube app should be updated. If your Youtube app is updated then you get Incognito mode in that.

If your youtube app is not updated, go to the Play store and update Youtube app. Then you will get this incognito mode in your app.

How to enable Incognito mode for your Youtube app on Android?

The process to enable the incognito mode for youtube app is very easy. Anyone can easily use this process.

Step 1: Open your youtube app on Android.

Step 2: As you see the avatar on the top right corner, tap on that avatar.

Step 3: After the tap on the avatar, you can see “Turn on Incognito” option below “Switch account”.
Tap on that to turn on Incognito mode.

Step 4: You can see “You’re Incognito” on the bottom and your avatar becomes black.

Step 5: To turn off incognito mode tap on the avatar. You can see the “Turn off incognito” option. Tap on that, you will be out of incognito mode. After that, your youtube will be signed in by your mail id.
