Mahindra launched the first ever e-vehicle as jungle safari at Tadoba Tiger reserve in Maharashtra.

The Company has showcased spectacular concepts like Stinger and Wanderlust along with eKUV 100 which was an electric version of KUV100 which shows the company’s future aspects of electric vehicles. Recently, the company’s customization wing has made a customization of Mahindra Electric Supro Van, designed as jungle safari Van and launched in Taboda Tiger reserve.

The vehicle is first of its kind in India, which is an Electric Jungle Safari Van. As per the images the Van is based on the Electric Supro Van and has open sides with a large curve shaped top to match the safari requirement. In the front the Van has a wooden foldable tray. The body color is a military green to match its Safari profile. The Safari Van has standard 8 seating arrangements.

Some specifications:

  • It has 200Ah Battery power with a 3phase AC Induction motor generating 33.53hp @ 3000 rpm and 90Nm of torque @ 1500 rpm.
  • The top speed is claimed to be 60 kmph and can go upto 112kms once fully charged.
