OnePlus a Chinese smartphone manufacturer is all set to launch the new flagship smartphone OnePlus 6. The company achieves great success in just 4 years and launched 7 smartphones which are OnePlus one, OnePlus two, OnePlus X, OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T and now OnePlus6 is coming. These all are flagship smartphones and they offer a lot of features and specification in their price segment.

They offer great value for money smartphones and OnePlus 6 is not an exception for that. This time company is adding controversial iPhone X style notch on the front. OnePlus CEO explains the reason for adding a notch in upcoming OnePlus 6.

Display:
Starting with the display OnePlus 6 is coming with 1080 x 2280 pixel resolution 19:9 aspect ratio 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED display. The display has 402 PPI density. OnePlus is adding Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on display. This means OnePlus 6 is coming with an amazing display.

But the company is adding iPhone x style notch on the front of the display for the camera and other sensors. There are a lot of smartphones on the market right now which follows Apple and add this controversial notch to the Phones. i.e. Vivo V9, Oppo F7, Asus Zenfone 5, Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Pro, Huawei P20 lite, LG G7, Oppo R15, Ulefone X etc.

Pete Lau OnePlus founder says that “While many of you have asked us not to increase the physical size of our phones, others requested larger and more immersive displays. The notch helps us accomplish both requests, ”. Then OnePlus is adding the feature to hide the notch which is great.

Processor and memory:
Coming to the processor, OnePlus 6 is coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 which is the flagship processor by Qualcomm. It is an octa-core processor (4×2.7 GHz Kryo 385 Gold & 4×1.7 GHz Kryo 385 Silver) with Adreno 630 GPU. The smartphone is coming with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

OS:
On the software point of view, OnePlus 6 is coming with Android 8.1 Oreo with OxygenOS support. The rumors and reports say that one can also use Android P Beta in OnePlus 6. OnePlus 6 users can use Android P Beta version from the 1st day of the launch event.

Camera:
The phone is having dual camera setup on back. The smartphone is coming with the 16MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture and 20MP secondary camera with f/1.7 aperture. The smartphone is coming with dual detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. The smartphone is also coming with16MP front facing the camera.

Battery and other:
The smartphone will have Non-removable Li-Po 3450mAh battery. The OnePlus 6 is coming with IP68 water and dust proof certification. Good thing is that OnePlus not skipped the headphone jack for OnePlus 6.

Connectivity:
The OnePlus 6 is coming with all the regular connectivity options which include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and a micro USB Type-C port. Also, similar to the OnePlus 5, one can use two SIM cards as the device has dual SIM support.

Launch Date:
OnePlus 6 is launching in India on 17th may. The launch event is held in Mumbai. The global launch event is held in London on 16th may.

Price and availability:
Amazon listing revealed that the price of the OnePlus6 is EUR 519(i.e. Rs 41,800) for 6GB RAM and 64GB storage and EUR 569(i.e. Rs 45,800) for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is no information on the price of 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant.

According to the Amazon listing, the OnePlus6 will be available in “Mirror Black” and “Midnight Black” color variant. OnePlus6 will be available for sale from May 22.
