VIVO a global smartphone brand, founded in 2009 had recently launched a smartphone in China which don’t have a specific fingerprint slot on the device. But the fingerprint sensor is on the display itself.
The VIVO X20plus UD is the modification of the X20plus which was launched earlier in September last year. The main aim of the company was to remove the fingerprint slot from the device. For this, they developed the in-display fingerprint sensor. The model of in-display fingerprint sensor was developed by Synaptics, a US based sensor maker.
The in-display fingerprint sensor was first rumored to come in Samsung, Apple and Google smartphones. Samsung and Google made their fingerprint sensor on the rear part of their device whereas, Apple came with their own face-id unlock which totally vanishes the fingerprint sensor.
Coming to the phone specifications the VIVO X20plus UD comes with a wide 6.43inches display screen with 1080×2160 pixels resolution. It has 128 gigabytes of internal storage with 1.8gHz octa-core processor. The phone runs with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes with hybrid sim slot and also with quick charging support. The phone may range in between 30,000 to 37,000INR. The expected date for this phone to be launched in India is around March 2018.
